Campus Convos: The movement to the top

Women’s professional sport has progressed in leaps and bounds in recent years. Blue chip companies are sponsoring the leagues and teams, broadcast deals have increased significantly, and a huge and sustained spike in the public interest has taken women’s sport to the next level of societal consciousness. This has opened broader conversations about issues beyond the sporting sphere such as mental health, gender equality, and the salary gap.

Watch as Australian Diamond’s and Deakin University ambassadors Liz Watson and Kate Moloney discuss these issues and predict the future of women’s sport with Nadine Cohen, Deakin Alumna and Deputy Chief Executive of Netball Australia, and Prof Pamm Phillips from Deakin University’s Business and Law Faculty.
