Campus Convos: Two women’s paths to the top of sports

Two women. Two successful sports careers. Two very different paths.

Liz Watson has firmly cemented herself as one of Australia’s best netball players. Seamlessly moving from the Centre position to Wing Attack, her accuracy around the circle, power and work rate, makes her one of the first Melbourne Vixens and Australian Diamonds to be picked in the starting line-up.

Nadine Cohen is one of Australia’s most successful sports business leaders. The inaugural Chief Executive of the Netball Foundation and Deakin University sports management alumnus, Nadine’s focus is on helping netball grow not just as a sport but also using the game to help women and girls to thrive. Nadine led the development of The Essence of Australian Sport, a national declaration of guiding ethical principles and implantation strategies for the Australian sport industry, helping keep Australia at the forefront of the sporting world.

Through a set of questions asked by Facebook audiences these two good friends and incredibly talented individuals casually talk through their respective journeys to greatness, giving audiences insight into what it took to reach their leading positions in sport.
